Assistant Principal
“Do small things with great love.” Mother Teresa
For me, the small things are the big things; the smiles, friends, laughter, and time spent together. Every day in my classroom I make a million small decisions that affect students' lives, and I don’t take the responsibility lightly. I believe students learn best when they know they are cared for, loved and respected. I strive every day to make my classroom the place my students need.
Growing up in Lompoc, I attended local elementary schools and Lompoc High School. I graduated from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts, Brandman University with a teaching Credential and master’s in teaching, and Santa Barbara County’s Administrative Credential Program.
I have had the pleasure of teaching at Manzanita Charter School since 2008, when we officially opened our doors. I have also held positions with Lompoc Unified School District and Trivium Charter School.
My husband and I live locally with our son and daughter, both of whom attended Manzanita Charter School because I believe the environment and culture we surround our children with is of the utmost importance. I hope you find our school to be a compilation of all the small things your student needs to feel successful and learn!
